Ticketing, Refund & Cancellation Policy

What buyers and organizers should expect when tickets are sold through the platform.

Checkout

Buyers choose an available ticket type and may pay using the displayed Stripe or PayPal option. A confirmation and reference number should be issued only after verified payment.

Fees and external links

The 1.5% platform fee applies only when a payment is completed through What’s Popping Up checkout. Organizers may use their own ticketing, reservation, food-ordering or product-payment links without a What’s Popping Up transaction fee. Any fees charged by an external provider are governed by that provider. The full order total, taxes and nonrefundable fees must be shown before payment.

Organizer refund rules

Each event must disclose its refund policy. If an event is cancelled, buyers should receive notice and the organizer remains responsible for refunds, subject to processor rules and applicable law.

Changes and disputes

Material date, time, venue or program changes should be communicated promptly. Chargebacks, duplicate charges and unauthorized transactions are reviewed with the relevant payment processor.
